Overview

Amarra Bookings is a booking platform for tour and activity operators: jet skis, boat trips, kayaks, buggies, e-bikes, paragliding. Customers book and pay on the operator's own website, in five languages, and the office runs the day from one back office: today's departures, the fleet, hotel pickups, crew, maintenance and the numbers. The screenshots show Bruma Adventures, an invented operator with demo data.

Challenge

Activity operators usually rent their booking system from a large platform. The customer data lives somewhere else, the checkout looks like someone else's, and the platform knows nothing about the things the office actually juggles: one fleet shared by several activities, hotel pickups at different times per zone, crew to roster, and boats and jet skis that need servicing on time.

Solution

Capacity belongs to the fleet, not to the product: a 40-minute and a 90-minute jet ski tour draw from the same eight jet skis, and a private charter takes every seat on the boat, so nothing can be oversold. Checkout locks each resource and rechecks inside the same transaction. Customers pick a date and time from live availability, add several activities to one cart, choose a hotel pickup with its own price, use promo codes or gift cards, and pay once. The back office shows the fleet's occupation hour by hour, each departure with its guests and crew, the driver's pickup sheet, a maintenance logbook per unit with services due by date, hours or kilometres, and analytics from booked value to the booking funnel and survey scores.

Results

An operator sees at a glance which hours are full and which units are free, sends the driver out with a printed pickup sheet, and knows which jet ski is due for a service before it breaks down. Every booking records the ad or search that brought it in, so marketing spend can be judged by the bookings it produces.
