Ivan
Founder, Architect & Business Strategist
20+ years building products, leading teams, and solving real business problems across seven countries, from multinationals with thousands of engineers to high-stakes startups where every decision hits the bottom line.
Deep expertise in software development and systems design, and equally fluent in business and product strategy, and turning technical capability into tangible business outcomes.
Now based in Lanzarote, wielding AI to deliver what once required entire teams.

Overview
The architect and business mind behind The Flying Devil. Two decades of building, breaking, and scaling software taught Ivan what no framework or tutorial ever could: how complex systems actually work in production, how teams ship under pressure, and where things really break.
But technical mastery is only half the story. Years of working directly with clients, understanding their goals, translating requirements into clear roadmaps, and relentlessly focusing on what delivers real value, made him as comfortable in a strategy meeting as in a codebase.
That rare combination is his unfair advantage: he knows exactly what to build and why it matters to the customer, and AI gives him the throughput to build it at speed.

Sharing projects with amazing colleagues
With over 20 years of international experience spanning seven countries, Ivan has held senior developer, leadership, support and client-facing positions in both startups and large multinationals: designing scalable architectures, leading engineering teams, managing stakeholder relationships, and shipping products used by millions.
What sets him apart is the breadth: he has sat on both sides of the table, building the technology and owning the business outcomes. He has scoped projects, negotiated timelines, managed budgets, and ensured that what gets delivered is what the customer actually needs, not just what was written in the first brief.
His technical range runs deep: from TypeScript and React frontends to backend APIs, Docker infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring stacks.
“Technology is a means, not an end. The only metric that matters is whether the customer's problem got solved.
Architecture is judgement, and judgement comes from experience. AI is the most powerful leverage in the history of software, but only if the person directing it understands the business context and knows what good looks like.
Build things that matter to real people, ship them fast, listen to feedback, and never stop iterating.”
